How does the game work?

The map shows you sites and hutongs to visit. Your team has the challenge of visiting as many as they can, as quickly as possible. You should work out a route with the least amount of walking.

When your team arrives at a hutong or site, you should read at all the questions to your team, then walk down the hutong or into the site. Working together, you should answer as many questions as possible, looking at plagues, street art and anything interesting. You should also check if there’s any picture clues in the area too. Mark the best response on your multiple-choice answer sheet as you discover the answers.

You can take as the right amount of time you need, but we suggest you follow the recommended times for walking as given per level. When finished, all teams should return to the finish line, hand in their answers and wait to get their score. Your instruction sheet will say approximately what time the prizes are to be anounced.
